Our Students

The purpose of the JAG Career Association (JAGCA) is to help members explore career pathways, to assess the opportunities and appropriateness of pursuing further education, to connect members with representatives of their chosen pathway, to develop their knowledge and skills, to secure employment in a job, and to demonstrate their ability to enter and advance with the employer. Each JAG affiliate forms a JAGCA chapter of student leaders to help guide the direction of the organization and create opportunities.

In Virginia, our career association is comprised of students from across the commonwealth that demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, and who will create opportunities for other students across the state. Each year JAGCA-Virginia officers and delegates attend JAG’s National Student Leadership Academy in Washington D.C. This has proven to be a life-changing experience in which students attend 3-day leadership training, meet their representatives on Capitol Hill, attend the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and network with other students from across the country.

Additionally, JAGCA-Virginia students plan Virginia’s Career Development Conference, including statewide competitive events that culminate at JAG’s National CDC in Indianapolis, IN. If you are interested in learning more please visit https://jag.org/jag-career-association/
